I'll dominate 'serious boxer' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight round match which will be shown in real-time on Netflix.

British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the two fighters confronted each other to publicize next month's bout.

Former twice unified title holder Anthony Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami's Kaseya Center on December 19th.

Boxer's Mindset

"I plan to damage his features and damage his physique. My goal is to show my superiority," the British boxer, 35 years old, declared.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I intend to really want to hurt him. That's my goal."

Civil Exchange

In spite of such comments, a composed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - typically recognized for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.

Paul instead attacked ex Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "a joke" after the Cameroonian rejected a match opportunity.

Targeting Fury

Anthony Joshua, at the same time, criticized British opponent Fury - and refused a large bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul victory.

"[Paul] outshines Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua said.

"I acknowledge that."

Legitimate Fighter

Despite declaring he will damage his opponent, Joshua refused to talk badly about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he remarked.

Paul's History

Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mostly boxed mixed martial artists or declining opponents since becoming pro.

He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in last year.

Financial Attraction

Still, the relative newcomer continues to be one of the sport's largest commercial attractions, frequently receiving massive earnings.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28-year-old predicted a KO victory in round four or five and stated he would prevent the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently in the works for two years from now.

"It will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul stated.

Size Disparity

As both boxers engaged in the traditional confrontation, with their size difference on show, it highlighted just how surprising this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is actually proceeding.
